Tiffany & Co Soup Ladle Sterling Silver 12.75" Japanese Pattern 1871 Floral Bird
This lovely piece by Tiffany & Co. would make the perfect addition to your collection of fine silver! Crafted in sterling silver, this solid soup ladle is part of Tiffany’s 1871 Japanese Collection. The ladle’s curved handle features a meadow scene with a long-tailed hummingbird poised on a stalk of wild wheat. Wings flared for flight, the beautifully-detailed hummingbird is framed with a medley of wildflowers whose slender stalks flow onto the stem of the handle. A single ivy leaf adorns the base of the handle as it widens into a rimmed bowl. The back of the handle reprises the meadow scene, but the hummingbird has taken flight. A lotus flower with banded leaves and a flame-shaped blossom embellishes the base of the handle. The back of the handle’s stem bears a Tiffany & Co. hallmark, a Sterling silver purity stamp, and the patent date 1871. In excellent condition with only a minor ding on the bottom of the bowl to reveals its previously-loved status, this beautiful Tiffany & Co. soup ladle will have you looking forward to hosting your next social event.
