Description
Alpha Kappa Kappa was founded in the medical department of Dartmouth College, September 28, 1888. Composed of 14k yellow gold, this antique badge features a crescent with a snake coiled around it and between the horns of the crescent is a book that feature the Greek letter Iota set against a black field. The side of the book features the letters M.D.U.M. done in black enameling. The snakes are quite detailed, especially their heads, and this badge is fully jeweled, set with genuine seed pearls and four green glass stones. This piece fastens with a hinged pin and whale tail clasp, and it has been professionally tested for 14k gold composition. The back of the badge bears the inscription 4178.
