This vintage new old stock fob would make a great addition to a collection of fraternal memorabilia. Never worn as an accessory, this collector’s item honors the Theta Delta Chi fraternity, which was founded at Union College in 1847. The gold-filled fob showcases a 10k yellow gold badge and a sterling silver crest. The gold badge is a shield displaying two white-enameled stars, two crossed arrows, and the Greek letters for Theta Delta Chi in gold lettering on a background of black enamel. The sterling silver crest features the stars, the crossed arrows, an open book, a flag with the fraternity’s name, and a banner bearing the Greek motto Spectemur Agendo and the date 1848. A fixed ring and a movable bail on the top of the fob allow the piece to be worn on a chain or added to a ribbon. The back of the fob has a brushed finish and is not engraved with a name or a date. A maker’s mark under the stationary ring identifies the designer. In excellent condition, the fob has not been cleaned in order to preserve its valued vintage patina. 
 
This fob weighs 15.2 grams.  The piece measures 1 1/2" (38.4mm) long and 1 15/16" (33.2mm) wide.
