Description

This beautiful ladle would make a wonderful addition to your collection of fine silver. Part of the Gamble Estate (James Gamble was one of the original founders of the Procter & Gamble Company, also known as P&G), this large, sterling silver ladle was crafted in 1850 by James Watson. The piece’s long, curved handle is adorned with a feathered fan at the top and scrolling details in the center and at the base, which flares into a wide, oval-shaped bowl. Ridging along the sides of the handle gives the piece an elegant look. The front of the ladle bears an engraved  monogram, EY, and the back of the handle displays the silversmith’s name, James Watson, and the words Patent 1850. In excellent condition, this ladle will be the perfect accompaniment to this year’s holiday punch bowl!

This ladle weighs 224.2 grams and it measures 13" long and 4 1/4" wide.

We guarantee this piece to be sterling silver as stamped. Please check out the enlarged pictures.
